Annandale Lucerne & Oat Straw Chaff is a balanced blend combining Lucerne with grain free golden Oat straw. A good source of naturally occuring minerals, fibre and protein.

Suitable for all types of horses/ ponies. An excellent source of protein for weanlings and young horses in early training as they increase muscle mass. The oat straw helps to balance the protein and energy levels of Lucerne reducing excessive weight gain. Excellent for improving digestion of other feeds and ensuring gut health.

Can be benefical for horses with laminitis - the lucerne provides protein which can help the horse to repair the damaged laminae, while the energy derived from the lucerne prevents the horse entering a negative energy balance, which can slow or prevent the healing process taking place.
